This summer, six Team Alberta squads traveled to Montreal (15U) and Regina (19U) to represent the province at Water Polo Canada's Canada Cup, and they came home with some of the province's best results in recent memory.

Huge congratulations to our 19U Girls on a gold-medal finish, and to our 15U Girls Blue squad on silver — outstanding results against the best programs in the country. Alberta once again sent two teams in both the 15U Boys and 15U Girls divisions, giving more athletes a first taste of national-level competition alongside our top squads.
For several of our younger and less experienced athletes, this was their first taste of national-level competition — an opportunity AWPA is proud to keep expanding. As one parent wrote to us afterward: "Giving the younger, less experienced girls a chance [to compete] was such a great experience for our daughter."
Athletes trained throughout June in both Calgary and Edmonton ahead of the trip, and each received an individual evaluation afterward covering performance, attitude, and overall development — feedback we hope helps them keep growing in the sport.
Congratulations to all of our Team Alberta athletes, coaches, and managers on a fantastic summer program.
