Alberta Water Polo Presents: The Northern Cup Invitational 2024

Alberta Water Polo is excited to announce the Northern Cup Invitational, taking place November 22-24, 2024, at the Kinsmen Sport Centre in Edmonton, AB. After several years, this tournament is back, offering an early-season competition for 16U male and female teams from across Canada and beyond.

The tournament kicks off on Friday, November 22nd, at 10 a.m. and concludes with medal games on Sunday, November 24th, by 5 p.m. Awards will be distributed after each medal game.

Registration Information:

• Entry Fee: $900 per team
• Registration Deadline: November 1, 2024
• Roster Deadline: November 16, 2024
• Alberta teams can register through their club's RAMP
• Other Canadian Teams and US teams will register at this link.
• A team roster, including staff and chaperones, must be entered during registration (but can include placeholders for numbers to be confirmed).

Technical Information: World Aquatics rules will be followed with minor exceptions. Once registration closes, an updated schedule will be released to include game duration and intervals. The Tournament Tech. Package will be available on the event page in the coming weeks.

Travel and Accommodations: Special rates are available through Water Polo Canada's partnership with Enterprise/National Car Rental. Host hotels will be listed on the AWPA website. Teams are encouraged to reach out to the AWPA office for further details.
